Stroke is a brain attack that occurs when blood flow to the brain is restricted. In this situation the brain cells start dying due to lack of oxygen supply. World stroke day is observed on 29 October each year. This day tries to create awareness about prevention of stroke. The theme for World Stroke Day 2020 is Join the Movement to highlight the role of being physically active in preventing this condition.

स्ट्रोक एक मस्तिष्क का दौरा है जो तब होता है जब मस्तिष्क में रक्त का प्रवाह प्रतिबंधित होता है। इस स्थिति में ऑक्सीजन की आपूर्ति में कमी के कारण मस्तिष्क की कोशिकाएं मरना शुरू हो जाती हैं। विश्व स्ट्रोक दिवस प्रत्येक वर्ष 29 अक्टूबर को मनाया जाता है। यह दिन स्ट्रोक की रोकथाम के बारे में जागरूकता पैदा करने की कोशिश करता है। इस स्थिति को रोकने में शारीरिक रूप से सक्रिय होने की भूमिका को उजागर करने के लिए विश्व स्ट्रोक दिवस 2020 के लिए थीम ज्वाइन द मूवमेंट है।
