Ontario announces plan for automatic credential recognition of health workers from other provinces



In Windsor, Ontario Premier Doug Ford announces that his government will introduce new legislation that will automatically recognize the credentials of health-care workers registered in other provinces and territories. This move comes as the Ford government continues to bring in new policies aimed at bolstering the struggling health-care system by attracting more workers to the province. The government also announces an additional $30 million investment in the Windsor Regional Hospital. The premier is joined at this press conference by Sylvia Jones (deputy premier and minister of health), David Musyj (president and CEO, Windsor Regional Hospital) and Drew Dilkens (Mayor of Windsor).
