Recalling Oulanyah’s role in the fight for his people’s health

Jacob Oulanyah has been described as one of the strongest pillars among the people in Northern Uganda.

Not only did he represent them in Parliament but also fought to ensure the region received a substantial allocation of government resources.

When he was deputy speaker of Parliament, he pushed for the 1.3 billion shillings supplementary budget to help families with children suffering from nodding syndrome.

This followed an NTV aired panorama story, titled when Death is Calling, a story of the ordeal and agony that the affected people grappled with.
